Common Name Ford's Habenaria - In Chian Xian Ban Yu Feng Hua

Found in Guangdong, Guangxi and southern Yunnan provinces of China in forests or along valleys in damp locations or on soil covered rocks at elevations of 600 to 2200 meters as a medium sized, warm to cold growing terrestrial with narrowly elliptic, fleshy tubers giving rise to an erect, stout stem with 4 to 5, basal, tufted, oblong-lanceolate to narrowly elliptic, acute contracted and amplexicaule below into the base leaves and several, small bract-like leaves above that blooms in the summer on an erect, 3.2" to 6.4" [8 to 16 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence with ovate-lanceolate, acute to acuminate floral bracts.
