Common Name Hanna's Habenaria
Flower Size .88" [2.2 cm]
Found in Zaire at elevations around 1850 meters as a medium sized, cool growing terrestrial witha single, ellipsoid tuber giving rise to an erect, glabrous, densely leafy stem carrying to 9, broadly lanceoalte, acute, imbricate, longer than the internode, all nearly equal in size, the uppermost leaves reaching the inflorescence that blooms on an erect, 4" [10 cm] long, densely to 20 flowered inflorescence with elliptic-lanceolate, acute to acuminate, leafy, glabrous, slightly longer than the flower floral bracts.
"Closely related to H njamnjamica but it has a minutely ciliate lip and the side lobes are shorter than the middle lobes. H hannae has a glabrous lip with the side lobes distinctly longer than the middle one." Szlach 2010
