Common Name The Ochre-White Habenaria

Flower Size .4 to .55" [1 to 1.3 cm]

Found in Papua New Guinea and the Northern Territory and Western Australia states of Australia at elevations of 20 to 1000 meters in occasionally wet areas and depressions in sparse woodlands as a small to medium sized, hot to warm growing terrestrial with an erect stem carrying 2 to 4, narrowly oblong, acute to acuminate leaves and many overlapping bracts that blooms in the summer on a terminal, erect, 8 to 18" [20 to 45 cm] long, wiry, 10 to 25 flowered inflorescence with ovate-lanceolate, acute, shorter than the ovary floral bracts and carrying white flowers.

Similar to H triplonema and H elongata but differs in the spur being a little shorter than the ovary and the processes of the stigma are shorter than others in the section Acuiferae

CAUTION Kew has H triplonema as a synonym of this species, I have left it and its synonyms separate at this time.
