Found in Costa Rica as a small to medium sized, terrestrial with an erect, flexuous, terete, glabrous stem carrying 6 to 8, erect-patent, narrowly lanceolate to lanceolate-ligulate, acuminate leaves that blooms on a terminal, erect, to 3.2" [to 8 cm] long, subdense, 10 to many flowered inflorescence
CAUTION Many references cite this species as a synonym of H alata but I have left them separate pending better references.
