Common Name Regnell's Habenaria [Swedish Physician and Orchid Collector in Brazil 1800's]
Flower Size 1/2" to 1" [1.25 to 2.5 cm]
Found in southeastern Brazil, Paraguay and northeastern Argentina at elevations of 850 to 900 meters as a medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with an erect stem enveloped by linear to lanceolate-oblong, acute, grading larger above leaves that blooms in the late spring and early summer on an erect, terminal, laxly few [3 to rarely 12] flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, concave, erect, floral bracts.
