Common Name Collantes's Masdevallia [Peruvian Orchid Enthusiast current]

Flower Size .4" [1 cm]

Found in Cajamarca department of Peru at elevations around 1450 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphtye with slender, erect ramicauls enveloped by 2 to 3 tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly elliptical, subacute, narrowly cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late winter and early spring on a slender, suberect, .8" [2 cm] long, successively? single flowered inflorescence.
