Common Name The Pleurothallis-Like Masdevallia
Flower Size .4" [1 cm]
Found in Panama in cloud forests at elevations of 900 to 1000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls enveloped by 2 thin, tubular sheath and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly obovate, subacute, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on a slender, erect, 1.2" [3 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence arising from low on the ramicaul with a bract near the base and with a tubular floral bract.
