Found in Peru and Bolivia at elevations around 3000 to 4800 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing terrestrial with 4 to5, radical and rosulate to fasciled, on a separate shoot, elliptic to oblong-elliptic, acute to acuminate leaves that blooms on a totally enveloped by hyaline, imbricating, loosely infundibuliform sheaths, to 1.08" [2.7 cm] long, cylindric-conic, densely many flowered inflorescence with hyaline, sub-orbicular ovate, with irregular margins and not as long as the flowers floral bracts.
