Flower Size

Found in western Himalaya at elevations of 1500 to 1800 meters as a small sized, cool growing terrestrial with a stout, firm stem provided with 3 to 4, loose sheaths but no leaves that blooms in the late summer and early fall on an erect, glandular pubescent, racemose, to 8" [20 cm] long, rachis 3.2 to 4" [8 to 10 cm] long, crwded, many flowered inflorescence with oblong, subacute, as long or slightly longer than the pedicel floral bracts.

This species is similar to N microglossa but differs in the bilobed lip.
