Common Name The Two Cusped Pelatanthera - In China Wei Si Zuan Zhu Lan
Found in China, Myanmar, Laos, and Vietnam on large trees and rocks in montane forests at elevations of 800 to 1400 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte or lithophyte with elongate, branched stems carrying elliptic-oblong, conduplicate, falcate in side view, obtuse and unequally bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the spring through fall on an axillary, .2" [5 mm] long, 2 to 3 flowered inflorescence with 2 to 3 short bracts and ovate-triangular, acute floral bracts.
This species is often confused with P ctenoglossa but this one never has hairs on the apical finger of the lip which can at times be forked. P ctenoglossa always has hairs on the apical finger of the lip and is never forked.
