Common Name The Sharp-Sepaled Pleurothallis

Found in Atlantida department of Honduras, Cartago, Limon and Puntarenas province of Costa Rica, Chiriqui and Colon provinces of Panama, Choco department of Colombia and Napo province of Ecuador at elevations of 100 to 1000 meters as a miniature sized, hot growing, caespitose epiphyte with short ramicauls enveloped basally by 2 to 3 tubular sheaths and carrying a single apical, elliptic-lanceolate, coriaceous leaf that blooms at any time of the year on a pendulous, filiform, 4" [10 cm] long, successively few flowered inflorescence with tubular, less than half as long as the pedicel floral bracts
Similar to P brighamii but it is a larger pant with different shape to the sepals and lip. Also similar to P corniculata but it also has differently shaped sepals and lip." Ames & Schweinfurth 1925
"Characterized by the caespitose habit with leaves up to 3.2" [8 cm] long, and less than .6" [1.5 cm] wide and the peduncles up to 4" [10 cm] long. The flowers are produced successively in a fascile of congested [edicels at the apex of the peduncle. The lateral sepals are partially connate with the lateral margins revolute and glabrous, the petals are dilated on the labellar margin and the lip is oblong with erect marginal angles below the middle and a pair of spiculate-denticulate calli."
