This species is easily recognized by the usually repent rhizome, the long erect ramicauls with a sheath above the middle and another below the middle, and 1 to 2, densely flowerwed racemes of yellow to green flowers with very narrow petals that are as long as the sepals and protrude from either side. The lip is three-lobed and has incurved lateral lobes that vary in length and width.
