Common Name The Narrow Straight Pleurothallis [refers to the leaves]

Flower Size .4" [1 cm]

Found in Amazonas department of Peru at elevations around 2200 meters as a small sized, cold growing, caespitose epiphtye with slender, erect ramiocauls enveloped by a close tubular sheath below the middle and 2 others at the base and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly linear with revolute sides, sulcate on the dorsal side, acute, shortly cordate below into the sessile base leaf that blooms in the fall on a fascile, arising through a spathe, .08 to .12" [2 to 3 mm] long, successively single, few flowered inflorescence with an as long as the pedicel floral bract.

"Characterized by a long, narrow leaf that is narrowly cordate at the base. It is closely related to L calamifolia and L subtilis but differs from them both in the bilabiate instead of suborbicular flower, an ovate lip dilated below the middle and a very short column." Luer 1997
