Common Name The Baudo Pleurothallis [A town In the Choco' of Colombia]

Found in Choco' and Valle de Cauca departments of Colombia at elevations of 50 to 500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot growing, caespitose epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls enveloped by a tubular sheath below the middle and 2 others at the base and carrying a single, apical, erect, coricaous, spreading, ovate, acute, cordate and sessile base leaf that blooms in the spring on a fascile of successive single flowers arising through a spathe and concealed within and has a thin tubular, just shorter to as long as the pedicel floral bract.
"Similar to P phyllocardioides but P baudoensis is distinguished by the thicker sepals, oblong, fleshy, subcarinate petals and a thick, triangular lip with a proportionally large glenion." Luer 2005
