Found in Antioquia department of Colombia on the western Cordillera at elevations around 2050 meters as a small sized, cool to cold growing, caespitose epiphyte with stout, erect ramicaul with a tubular sheath below and 2 others at the base carrying a spreasing, coriaceous, narrowly ovate, acute, acuminate, sessile, cordate leaf that blooms in the spring on a .1 to .15" [2 to 3 mm] long, single flowered inflorescence arising and confined within a reclining spathe with tubular as long as the pedicel floral bracts.
