Common Name The Fleshy Leafed Pleurothallis [refers to the leaves]

Found in Cuzco department of Peru at elevations around 2400 meters as a ministure sized, cold growing, caespitose lithophyte with slender, erect ramicauls enveloped by a tubular sheath near the middle and 2 to 3 others at the base and carrying a single, apical, erect, thickly coriaceous, narrowly elliptical, subacute to obtuse, indistinctly petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer and early fall on a loose, secund, 1.2 to 2" [3 to 5 cm] long including the .4" [1 cm] long peduncle, simultaneously several flowered inflorescence arising through a spathe with an annulus near the base of the leaf.
"Differs from P angustilabia by the narrow, thickly fleshy leaves and a several flowered raceme about as long. The flowers are yellow with the conspicuously carinate sepals also fleshy, especially above the middle. The petals are ovate and sharply acute. The lip is obovate, thick and shallowly sulcate."
