Found in Minas Gerais state of Brazil at elevations around 800 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with erect, cylindrical ramicauls carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, ovate, obtuse, narrowing below into the base leaf that blooms in the winter on a erect, arising through a small spathe at the apex of the ramicaul, filiform, to 3" [7.5 cm] long including the .2 to 2" [.5 to 5 cm] long fractiflex peduncle, successively single, few to several flowered inflorescence
