Common Name The Terrible Tongued Pleurothallis

Found in Minas Gerais, Espirito Santo, Rio de Janiero, Sao Paulo, Parana, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul states of Brazil at elevations around 800 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing, caespitose epiphyte with an erect to ascending ramicaul enveloped by 1 to 2, brown, scarious sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, oblong, obtuse to rounded, green, minutely spotted with white or red brown, cuneate below into the base leaf that blooms in the winter, spring and summer on an erect, slightly fractiflex, 3" [7.5 cm] long overall, racemose, successively 1 to 2, several flowered inflorescence.
CAUTION Kew includes Pleurothallis cipoensis as a synonym of this species, for now I have left them separate.
