Common Name The Notched Pleurothallis

Found in Chiapas state of Mexico, Costa Rica and Panama at elevations around 1200 to 1500 meters as a miniature sized, warm to cool growing, presumably caespitose epiphyte with erect, stout ramicauls enveloped by loose tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical, obtuse, cuneate below into the sessile base leaf that blooms in the fall on an erect, arising from the apex of the ramicaul, loose, subflexuous, 3" [7.5 cm] long, simultaneously several flowered inflorescence with infundibular, much shorter than the pedicel floral bracts.
"Closely allied to P lehmanneptis and P immersa but P crenata is distinguished by a short ramicaul, an elliptical subpetiolate leaf, a several flowered raceme about as long as the leaf and long pedicellate flowers with fleshy carinate sepals, spathulate petals and an oblong, verrucose lip with tall rounded sides."
