Found in Minas Gerais state of Brazil at elevations of 1000 to 1200 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing, repent epiphyte with erect, stout ramicauls enveloped basally by 2 to 3 tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, compressed, obovate, acute leaf that is cuneate below into the petiole and blooms in the winter on an erect, .8" [2 cm] long, several flowered inflorescence.
