Common Name The Second Klingelfus' Masdevallia [Brazilian Orchid Enthusiast and cultivator of the species current]

Found in Santa Catarina state of Brazil at elevations of 300 to 500 meters as a miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with erect, stout ramicauls enveloped by a loose tubular sheath below the middle and another at the base carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical, acute, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the winter on an erect, from near the apex of the ramicaul, peduncle .8 to 1.2" [2 to 3 cm] long, loose, simultaneously to 12 flowered inflorescence with tubular, shorter than the pedicel floral bract.
"This species of Pleurothallis is distinguished by yellow, long-attenuate sepals, and apiculate petals with dark purple filling the middle two thirds. The dark purple, simple, oblong lip is unique with a pair of long-ciliate-villous crests below the middle." Luer & Toscano 2012
