Found in Minas Gerais state of Brazil as a miniature sized, cool growing, repent epiphyte with erect, flexuous, apically thickening ramiocauls carrying a single, apical, intense green-purple spotted, pale green beneath, elliptic, rounded, gradually narrowling below into the sessile base leaf that blooms in the late spring and early summer on 2 to 3, erect, 2.8 to 4.8" [7 to 12 cm] long, successively few, many flowered inflorescence
