SUBGENUS Arthrosia Luer 1986

Characterized by the tranverse callus across the base of the lip that articulates with a transverse cavity across the base of the column foot. The apex of the column is toothed or lacerate and is partially covering the anther. The caespitose to repent ramicauls may be round to laterally compressed to triquetrous above and carry sessile leaves and racemose inflorescence without an annulus.
