Flower Size .12" [3 mm]

Found in Colombia without collection data as a mini-miniature sized, caespitose epiphyte with very slender, suberect ramicauls enclosed by a thin tubular sheath below the middle and another at the base and carrying an apical, a coriaceous, cordate, acute, the base cuneate, sessile leaf that blooms on a .8" [20 mm] long, successively single, flowered inflorescence held flat against the surface of the leaf, borne from a spathaceous bract at the base of the leaf and carrying a resupinate flower.

"This diminutive species has circulated in the trade incorrectly identified as Pleurothallis crucifera for over a decade. However, Pleurothallis jennydandreae is easily distinguished by the following morphological characteristics: an ovate, convex lip, short, fleshy, downturned petals, a convex dorsal sepal which is almost twice as long as the synsepal."
