Common Name or Meaning The Narrow Sepal Pleurothallis

Flower Size .08 to .28" [2 to 7 mm]

Found in Imbabura province of Ecuador in primary forest on the top of trees, at elevations around 850 to 1400 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with erct to ascending styems with 2 internodes and scarious, acuminate apically, truncate basally sheaths and carrying a single, apical, elliptical to elliptical-obovate, obtuse, mucronate at the apex, margins entire, leathery, with a longitudinal groove along the midrib on the upper surface, abscissal layer barely glandular, olive green in color, tapering abruptly into a petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall and winter on 4 to 5, erect, arising from the annular ring, with a spatulate, glabrous bract, peduncle filiform, much longer than the leaf, .72" [1.8 cm] long, , brown, without bracts; rachis .032" [.08 cm] long, ascending, successively single flowered inflorescence with obliquely campanulate, infundibuliform, obtuse, with a short, apiculate apex, truncate base, papery floral bracts carrying semi-open, in diameter; sepals solid yellow, with two longitudinal lines, petals
