Common Name The Tongue Pleurothallis [refers to the lip]

Found in Rio de Janiero state of eastern Brazil at elevations of 700 to 1200 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing, caespitose epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls enveloped by 3 tubular, membraneous sheaths and carrying a single, apical, linear-lanceolate, faintly conduplicate, light green attenuate into the base leaf that blooms in the spring through fall on a .12" to .2" [3 to 5 mm] long, single to 2 flowered inflorescence.
