Found in Colombia and Ecuador without callection data as a small sized, caespitose epiphyte with slender, erect ramcaiuls enveloped by a close tubular sheath below the middle and carrying s single, pendent, coriaceous, narrowly ovate, acute, codate below intothe sessile base leaf that blooms in the late summer and early fall on an erect, arising through a reclining spathe at the base of the leaf, peduncel .12 to .2" [3 to 5 mm] long, single flowered inflorescence with a shorter than the ovary floral bract amnd carrying a fleshy, glabrous flower.

Pleurothallis neorinkei is similar to and often confused with P ascera also found in Colombia but P neorinkei is distinguished by the flower morphology such as narrower petals instead of wider and the narrower lip which is revolute instead of involute as in P ascera
