Found in Cocle province of Panama as a mini-miniature sized warm growing, shortly repent epiphyte with ascending to erect, slender, terete ramicauls enveloped by a tubular sheath belwo the middle and 1 to 2 others at the base and carrying a single, apical, erect, coricaeous, elliptical, subacute to obtuse, cuneate to rounded below into the pewtiollate base leaf that blooms in the spring on an arching, arising through a narrow spathe at the base of the leaf, 3.6 to 5.6" [9 to 14 cm] long, laxly distichous to secund, several flowered inflorescence with a much shorter than the pedicel floral bract.
"Distinguished by the small habit, short ramicauls bourne by a shortly repent rhizome, an erect, elliptic leaf and a weak, lax, arching raceme of long-pedicellate, pale greenish pink flowers that far surpass theleaf. The dorsal sepal and synsepal are acutee and acuminate, the petlas are acutte and minutely denticulate and the small lip is broadly ovate and apiculate." Luer 1998
