Common Name The Pantasma-Like Pleurothallis
Flower Size 1/4" [8 mm]
Found in Azuay, Loja, Chimborazo and Zamora-Chinchipe provinces of Ecuador and Cusco and Amazonas departments of Peru at elevations of [650?] 1500 to 3000 meters as a medium sized, [warm] cool to cold growing, very shortly repent to caespitose epiphyte with slightly arcuate, basally terete ramicauls carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic-oblong, obtuse, cuneate and decurrent below into the base leaf that blooms in the spring and summer on to 4, arising from the apex of the stem, which is above the base of the leaf, very short, arcuate-recurved, densely few flowered inflorescence with floral bracts that envelop the pedicel and ovary.
"Similar to P pantasma but differs in the thickly coriaceous leaves about as long a the triquetrous ramicauls vs thin, proportionally shorter leaves, twice larger flowers with lacerate petals vs microscopically serrulate and a twice larger lip without the cleft callus above the base." Luer 2004
