Common Name The False Pleurothallis trifida Pleurothallis [refers to its similarity to P trifida]

Found in Espirito Santo state of Brazil at elevations around 1000 to 1600 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing, caespitose epiphyte with green, erect, cylindrical ramicauls enveloped by tubular, acute, pale green sheaths and carrying a single, apical, green, linear-elliptic, minutely tridentate apically, subpetiolate base leaf that bloooms in the summer and early fall on an erect, .48 to .68" [1.2 to 1.7 cm] long, shorter than the leaves, congested, successively single, several-flowered inflorescence with a translucent, pale green, tubular, acute, as long as to shorter than the pedicel floral bract.
