Common Name The Fleshy Sepal Pleurothallis

Found in Bolivar state of Venezuela in premontane wet to cloud forests at elevations of 1200 to 1300 meters as a small sized, cool growing, caespitose to shortly creeping epiphyte with sharply triquetrous, adaxially sulcate, stiffly erect, straight to somewhat curved, somewhat tapering towards the base ramicauls enveloped basally by a rather fugacious, inflated sheath and carrying a single, apical, fleshy and softly coriaceous, elliptic, acute to acutley obtuse, flat, surface slightly rugose, midnerve sulcate, dorsally moderately angled to subcarinate, gradually narrowing below into the channeled base leaf that blooms on an arching, arising through an elliptic spathe, .52 to .72" [1.3 to 1.8 cm] long, rachis somewhat zig zag, 3 to 6 flowered inflorescence with shorter than the ovary floral bracts.

Similar to P rubroviridis but the petals are lanceolate, acute and the lip is wider at the base.
