Common Name or Meaning Sergio's Pleurothallis [Colombian Orchid Enthusaist and Catholic priest late 1900's]

Found in Colombia without collection data as a mini-miniature sized, caespitose epiphyte with slender, erect ramcauls enveloped by a close, tubular sheath below the middle and another at the base and carrying a single, apical, erect, rigid, thickly coriaceous, narrowly elliptical oblong, acute, subconduplicate, cuneate and shortly subcordate into the sessile base leaf that blooms in the summer on a reclining, arising through a small fugacious spathe at the base of the leaf, fascile of 4 to 8, each .04" [1 mm] long, simultaenously single flowered inflorescence with as long as the pedicels floral bracts and carrying dark yellow flowers with red-maroon nerves.

"Characterized by a small habit, narrow, rigid, thickly coriaceous, more or less conduplicate leaves ad a fascile of several, simultanous, yellow flower with red brown stripes along the veins. The sepals are obtuse, the petals are much smaller and acute and the lip is obtusely ovate." Luer 2005
