Found in La Paz department of Bolivia at elevations aroumd 3000 meters as a small sized, cold growing, caespitose lithophyte with stout, erect ramicauls with a tubular sheath below the middle and another at the base carrying a single, suberect to spreading, coriaceous, narrowly ovate, acute, slightly acuminate, sessile, cordate base leaf that blooms in the later spring on a short .08" [2 mm] long peduncle hidden within the reclining spathe .6 to .68" [15 to 17 mm] long, successively single flowered inflorescence with a tubular, half or less as long as the pedicel floral bract and carrying fleshy flowers with no colors recorded.

”This species, confined to northeastern Bolivia, is vegetatively similar to all those species characterized by a spreading, narrrowly ovate leaf, this species is distinguished by the subacute sepals with the dorsal sepal multiveined, oblong, denticulate petals, and a large elliptical lip that is shallowly concvavand flat between elevated margins.” Luer 2005
