Common Name The Unduavi Pleurothallis [refers to a river and town near where the species was collected]

Found in La Paz department of Bolivia at elevations around 2450 meters as a mini-miniature to miniature sized, cold growing, caespitose epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls with a tubular sheath near the middle and 2 to 3 others at the base and carrying a single, apical, erect, thickly coriaceous, grey green, elliptical, subacute to obtuse, rounded and narrowly cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer on an erect, arising through a spathe from an annulus below the apex of the ramicaul, subcongested, distichous, 4 to 5.6" [10 to 14 cm] long including the 1.2 to 1.6" [3 to 4 cm] long peduncle, simultaneously several flowered inflorescence with an as long as the pedicelthe pedicel floral bract .
" Similar to P rubens and even more so to P coripatae. All three have similar lips. Differs from P rubens in the column that lacks the protruding margin beyond the anther. Differs from P coripatae in the denticulate lamellae within the margins of the lip. From both it differs in the serrulate margins of the petals." Luer 1999
