Common Name The Lambda Anacheilium [refers to the stripes on the flowers forming the letter Lambda]
Flower Size .2" [5 mm]
Found near Ocana in Norte de Santander department of Colombia at elevations of 1200 to 1250 meters as a medium sized, cool growing epiphyte with compressed spindle-shaped pseudobulbs enveloped by a sheath and carrying 2, apical leaves that blooms in the late spring on a terminal, many flowered inflorescence
Dressler has suggested that this species may actually be a natural hybrid between Anacheilium baculus and Anacheilium chacaoense [Rchb.f] Withner & Harding 2004 .
