Common Name The Notched Scaphyglottis

Found in Cuba, Dominican Republic, Greneda and Surinam as a medium sized, hot growing epiphyte with cylindrical, slightly sulcate pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, subterete, sulcate above, narrowly linear-subulate, acute leaf that blooms on a terminal, short, single flowered inflorescence.
Often confused with Scaphyglottis reflexa but differs mostly in the longer pedicel that is not enveloped by imbricating sheaths.
