Common Name Galiano's Odontoglossum [Washington Galiano Sanchez Peruvian Biology professor and Co discoverer of species current]

Found in Cusco department of Peru in wet cloud forets at elevations of 2800 to 3200 metrers as a small sized, cold growing epiphyte with caespitose, ovoid, ancipitous, slightly compressed pseudobulbs enveloped by 6 to 8 distichous, uppermost folaceous sheaths and carrying 1 to 3, oblong-elliptic to narrowly obovate, conduplicate, shortrly petiolate base leaves that blooms in the summer on an axillary, erect to suberect, slightly fractiflex, racemose, 5.6 to 6.4" [14 to 16 cm] long, 8 to 10 flowered infloresccence with conspicuous, as longas to longer than the pedicel and ocvary floral bracts and carrying non-resupinate, stellate flowers.
