Common Name Milner's Thrixspermum [Milner Paulus - Sabahan collector of the type current]

Found in Sabah Borneo in lower montane forests on twigs and small branches at elevations around 1000 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with spreading stems enveloped by compressed, green, persistent, longer than the internodes sheaths and carrying distichous, strap-shaped, rather thick, green suffused with purple, constricted before the acute, unequally bilobed leaves that blooms in the winter on a lateral, arising from the nodes near the base of the stem, peduncle .88 to 1.2" [2.2 to 3 cm] long, provided with 2 tubular, basal bracts, rachis swollen, to .36" [9 mm] or more, successively 1, several flowered inflorescence with quaquaversal, crowded, basally clasping rachis, ovate-triangular, free part recurved, keeled, subacute apex sometimes with a point, shorter than the ovary floral bracts and carrying ephemeral, wide spreading flowers.
Similar to T canaliculatum but T milneri differs in the inflorescence having recurved floral bracts and the flower with a column foot as long as the column. .
