Found in southwestern Taiwan on montane slopes in cloud forests in shade at elevations of 600 to 800 meters as a small sized, warm growing terrestrial with an erect stem carrying mostly a single, apical, thin, linear-lanceolate, acuminate, acute basally leaf with three sheaths below that blooms in the summer on a terminal, erect, 2.4 to 2.6" [6 to 6.5 cm] long, densely 9 to 12 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, glabrous, floral bracts and carrying non-resupinate flowers.
