Found in Sulawesi in forests at elevations of 1600 to 1900 meters as a small sized, erect to pendulous, wcool growing epiphyte with 1.52 to 2.95" [3.8 to 7.4cm] between each conspicuous, ovoid, distinctly 4 angled pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, ovate, acute, gradually narrowing below into the shortly, petiolate base leaf that blooms on a more or less porrect, slightly thickened, glabrous, rather dense, 1.52" to 2.6" [3.8 to 6.2 cm] long, 13 to 17 flowered inflorescence with acute floral bracts.
This species, B stenurum and B sternuroides are all very similar and need more fieldwork to ensure their differences.
