LATE
Common Name or Meaning The Big Spotted Bulbophyllum
Flower Size .8 to 1" [2 to 2.5 cm]
Found in southern Yunnan China on tree trunks in dense forests at elevations up to 1700 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with clustered, ovoid pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, elliptic to obovate-elliptic, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late spring on a basal, erect, .4 to .8" [1 to 2 cm] long, 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence
CAUTION This species and Bulb leopardinum are considered conspecific with B colomaculosum being the synonym but there seems to be a lot of differences so I await more references.
