Common Name or Meaning The Granular Bulbophyllum

Found in southeastern Brazil in dense Ombrofilous forests at elevations of 500 to 1500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, oblong, obtuse leaf that blooms in the late fall, winter and spring on an erect, peduncle 4.48 to 8.36" [11.2 to 20.9 cm] long, rachis 1.56 to 3" [3.9 to 7.5 cm] long, 6 to 10 flowered inflorescence.
Similar to B. atropurpureum, B. glutinosum and B. malachadenia, however it is distinguished by the combination of two characters: 3-nerved sepals and basal appendages present.
