Common Name The Soft, Delicate Gland Bulbophyllum
Flower Size .8" [2 cm]
Found in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janiero states of Brazil in dense Ombrofilous forests at elevations of 100 to 500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with .8" [2 cm] between each, ovoid pseudobulb carrying a linguiforme, acute to obtuse leaf that blooms in the winter on a basal, peduncle 5.6 to 8.28" [14 to 20.7 cm] long, rachis .76 to 3.16" [1.9 to 7.9 cm] long, 1 to 5 flowered inflorescence.
Similar to B. atropurpureum, B. glutinosum and B. granulosum but it differs by presenting the following combination of characters: 5-ribbed sepals and a fleshy lip extending from the base to the apex.
