Found in Panama at elevations of 1200 meters as a miniature sized, warm growing epiphtye with blackish, erect ramicauls enveloped basally by 2 to 3 tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apcial, erect, coriaceous, elliptical, subacute, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on a slender, suberect, round in cross-section, 2/8 to 3.2" [7 to 8 cm] long, successively several, single flowered inflorescence arising from low on the ramicaul with a basal bract and thin floral bracts.
