Found in the Dominican Republic at elevations around 1300 to 1400 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing growing epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls with a close, tubular sheath below the middle and 2 to 3 others at the base and carrying a single, apical, coriaceous, erect, elliptical, obtuse, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, 2.4 to 4.8" [6 to 12 cm] long including the [1.2 to 2.4" [3 to 6 cm] long peduncle, loose, secund simultaneously few flowered inflorecence arising through a spathe at the apex of the ramicaul with an oblique, acute floral bract.
