Found in Morona-Santiago Ecuador in forests at elevations around 1100 meters as a small to just medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls with a close, tubular sheath on the lower forth and 2 others at the base and carrying a single, apical, coriaceous, erect, narrowly ovate, acute, cordate below into the sessile base leaf that blooms in the early summer on a successively single, few flowered inflorescence arising through and concealed by a spathe.
