Found in Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia and Ecuador at elevations of 1500 to 2500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with slender, erect ramicaul enveloped by 2, thin, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly elliptical-obovate, subacute to obtuse, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall and winter on a 2" [5 cm] long, loose, flexuous, successively several flowered inflorescence arising laterally from the ramicaul.
