A cold growing, miniature epiphyte that occurs in Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru at elevations of 2000 to 3400 meters with slender, erect ramicauls enveloped basally by 2 to 3 tubular sheaths and carries a single, apical eret, coriaceous, elliptic-lanceolate, acute apex with an apicule, basally rounded with the basal margin incurved leaf and blooms in the summer on a short, single flowered inflorescence arising from the apex of the ramicaul.
