Common Name Rabe's Pleurothallis [Co-Collector of species current]

Found in Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru at elevations of 600 to 1300 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing, caespitose epiphyte with erect ramicauls enveloped by 2 thin, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical-obovate, subacute to obtuse, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, arising from a node near the apex the ramicaul, peduncle .2" [5 mm] long, subflexuous, racemose, .6" [15 mm] long, successively single, few flowered inflorescence with shorter than the pedicel floral bracts.
"Characterized by the ramicaul shorter than the leaf and a short, few flowered raceme. The sepals and petals are vaiously ciliate and pubescent. The lip is oblong and trilobed with lateral lobes of various sizes below but near the middle." Luer 2006
