Found in Sao Paulo and Santa Catarina states of Brazil in restinga forests at very low elevations as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing, repent epiphyte with very short, branching ramicauls enveloped by 2, transluscent, membraneous sheaths and carrying a single, apical, broadly elliptical to subrotund, apically obtuse, sessile base leaf that blooms in the summer on a short, arsing through a minute spathe, single flowered inflorescence.
